Webcam Publisher is a webcam publishing program. The application allows you to connect several video sources to your computer and stream those in a variety of ways. The most useful way of streaming your video with Webcam Publisher is by using its built-in PWS server, which acts as a web server. You can even embed that stream into a web page. Also, the application has FTP support, which allows you to upload the stream to a FTP server. If the program is configured to publish snapshots instead of continuous video, then you can also post the pictures to a FTP server. WebCam Publisher supports JPG, AVI, PNG, BMP, TGA, TIF, PCX, and ICO files. The application can also create compressed AVI files which can be uploaded or e-mailed automatically. And to finish the package, there are several text and overlay effects that can be added to both streams and snapshots. You can add anything from text to moving images to watermarks on top of your video. The good thing about this particular app is that it is an open-source project and that it can support several input video sources.
